Round 5 Adelaide River Estuary 23rd – 24th September 2023 – Information & Boundary 

The following information relates to Round 5 2023 for the lower Adelaide River / Estuary area. The Scorecard for the round will be sent out on Thursday 21st of September and will also be available on the website at that time.

The eastern boundary finishes on the northern bank of Jack CreekThe western boundary finishes at the western tip of Gunn Point. The upstream boundary is Castle Creek as per previous years.

Capture returns need to be uploaded to the website no later than 6pm on Monday 25th September.

Please send through any high-resolution photos of competitors holding fish as well as any other good shots for use in media. When uploading images to your Facebook page, Instagram please tag the Top End Barra Series or TEBS Fella’s pages, so our social media coordinator and journalist Regis Martin and Kieran Chin are able to capture and post on our page.

There have been reports of vandalism at the saltwater boat ramp so please do not leave any valuables in your car.

A reminder that you need a minimum of 2.5 meters to get over the rock bar at the saltwater boat ramp and stick to the right when heading towards the mouth from the ramp itself.

Raft up for this round will be the mouth of Wilshire no 2 and competitors should keep a loudspeaker watch on VHF channel 71/72

There is a Reidy’s Lure pack up for grabs for the best story posted to Socials from the weekend. Just tag the Top End Barra Series or TEBS Fella’s pages to be in the running. Winners will be announced at the round 5-6 presentations.

A prize for the mystery barra size will be awarded this round.

Photographing Fish. Make sure mouth is closed or as close to closed as you can get. Please try to take clear photos. 

Measuring. Please remember that fish will be sized down to the centimeter. For example, if the fish is between 58.00 to 58.9cm it will be scored at 58cm.
